Massage Alumni Is Live But Still Under Construction
- 1 Comment
Today our social network for massage therapists went live so it was a very exciting day. We have been working our little espresso machine overtime because of the incredible amount of work we have been doing just to get the network functioning properly.
My wife designed the graphic for our network so I give her kudos. She is a great designer so if you need some work done then you can contact her through her blog at CrochetCastle.
I sent out invitations to my former classmates from the massage school I went to and they are excited about our project and joining up. We will begin marketing the site within the next 90 days after we finish up the final development phase. Right now we have not monetized the site but will probably begin with Google AdSense when we start.
The software that we are using is phpFox and it is proving to be a great format. We did not install it ourselves but paid a fee to have phpFox do it for us. I am sure it was really simple because our hosting company, Bluehost has a great Control Panel. I just did not have time to do all the administrative work on the installation. I think we paid something like $45 dollars to have it done. That is expensive but well worth it for peace of mind.

I really think this is a great project, and I look forward to the journey ahead (AND, I’m thankful for our “little espresso machine”… We would be lost without it :-P)… I never knew that two UNemployed people could work SO MUCH!
