My Fortune Cookie Came True And I Got New Underwear

My wife and I went to the local Chinese Buffet and had a nice lunch that was followed by the expected fortune cookie. I do apologize for the photo not being very clear. I took the picture with my phone camera and it did not turn out well. My fortune cookie read, “You will receive an unexpected gift from an acquaintance.” 

I found the fortune fun and we left the restaurant. As we went down the road my mom called and told us that her new boyfriend wanted to give me a gift. This caught my attention because I always love to get gifts. He said he did not want me to be offended but he has a whole bag of brand-new, unused(I would not want used underwear) boxer briefs he wanted to give me if I wanted them. He is a much larger fellow than me.

My mom brought the bag of undies later and it included about 12 packages of underwear and a package of pocket t-shirts. It was kind of funny and I got a kick out of my fortune cookie coming true. The underwear might end up on eBay…I will let you know the fate of the underwear.

Maybe I should play the lottery numbers on the back of the fortune. What do you think?
