Renting Movies At McDonald’s With Redbox

redboxWe love going to McDonald’s to get a quick jolt from the iced coffee they sell. They are cheap and tastes pretty good. It is better than spending twice the amount at other coffee places. Our local McDonald’s put in a Redbox video rental machine. The whole experience is OK if the weather is not bad outside. If it is very cold or raining then that can have a big influence on my choice to get out of the car. Wouldn’t it be great if you could just rent the videos without getting out of the car by just driving up to the machine?

At this particular machine the touch screen seemed to be messing up and I had a real hard time putting in my email. Finally the machine just kicked out my video. I got the video free with a large drink I bought. The drink had a peel off ticket that allowed me to punch in my code to get the free movie. free movieI think it was a good deal and I am sure McDonald’s is giving away free movies to get people in the habit of renting at Redbox. After all it is hard to resist a $1 movie rental fee. A bonus is no late fees also.

I thought there were late fees charged every day? (Tho I could be wrong?) Also, why not just order your movie at the drive-thru? Why do we have to get out of the car for the movie, but we can drive thru for coffee?? I think it should be a drive thru thing :-P (Just my thoughts)
